Location
Cholon- Baru belongs to the National Natural Park Islas del Rosario & San Bernardo del Viento. It is located 45 minutes from Cartagena (by boat), this inlet is surrounded by a large manglar ecosystem with cristailne waters that are protected from the high winds and tides. Cholon holds a mountanous microsystem that makes it very different from typical islands. Its vegetation, views, and climate conditions makes it a true island paradise. Visitors have many activities like hiking, biking, and people can visit the old town Baru at the eastern board of the island.
Its waters are ideal for water ecological activities (like kayaking or sailing), and a great attraction are its many canals and passages that date from pirate times. Just before one cannot expect more, just a few meters from its inlet arises the largest coral reef in Colombia, bringing a new set of adventures to whomever wants to explore them.

From you closest airport, book a fight to Cartagena, Colombia. As soon as you arrive, it will be easy to arrive to playascondida either by boat or by car.

It is necessary to have a 4x4 vehicle. From the corredor vial (Cartagena Mamonal) one must go to Pasacaballos, from here you cross over the Dique Canal and the continue on the main road.
